WHY SATIN, NOT SILK

Silk is derived from the cocoons of larvae of 'silkworms', which means that many of these insects are raised unnaturally by the silk industry, purely to manufacture the silk.

3000 silkworms are killed to make around 400g of natural silk, making the practice unethical.

As part of our commitment to 'do no harm', the Hello-Honey team decided to opt for what we believe to be a better alternative to silk, as the high quality fibres in satin are not only vegan friendly, but do not harm any living, breathing creature when being made.
